As well as local farms who sell their produce (we provide details), there's a friendly village shop two miles from the house, with a post office, cash machine DVD rentals. There is also a newsagent. Tiverton provides the usual supermarkets etc. South Molton has a covered market on Saturday and Thursday mornings.
There is a very good pub a mile away, and we have a list at the house of many others we like within a short drive. There are riding schools, places to fish and golf courses in the area.
The Old Barn has a table tennis table, basketball net, a darts board and plenty of space to mess about.
There's a croquet set, boules, a badminton set, as well as outdoor furniture and a barbecue.
We have recently had a hard tennis court built, so if you like tennis you will love it here - no need to book or be finished in an hour, and a beautiful view across the valley!
